A Wasli sheet is a traditional, handmade paper board made by fusing multiple layers of paper together. It is the legendary canvas used for Indo-Persian miniature paintings, known for being incredibly strong and glass-smooth.
Unlike regular paper, Wasli is hand-burnished to a satin finish. This allows for microscopic detail and prevents the paper from warping when you use watery paints. It’s tough, archival, and built to last for centuries.
